Day 88: I dedicate this song to a friend of mine (who is that friend?)

How Did You Know
By Chiqui Pineda

It is when suddenly in your lowest moment, somebody comes along. Started as friends, confidant and slowly longs for each other's company, which both didn't expect that it's growing bit by bit. Both are happy amidst the chaos around them, but not letting it step in their ways. Where will this lead to? Nobody knows yet ....

I dedicate this song to a friend ... who is that? rather not disclose ... ^_^

enjoy listening, click the link!

I remember so well
The day that you came into my life
You asked for my name,
You had the most beautiful smile

My life started to change
I'd wake up each day feeling alright
with you right by my side
Makes me feel things will work out just fine

How did you know
I needed someone like you in my life
That there's an empty space in my heart
You came at the right time in my life

I'll never forget
How you brought the sun to shine in my life
And took all the worries and fears that I had
I guess what I'm really trying to say
It's not everyday that someone like you comes my way
No words can express how much ... i love you

Day 87: A song by an artist beginning with the letter "i"

Out Here On My Own
Irene Cara

Irene Cara is an American singer and actress. She became famous for her role in the 1980 film  Fame, earning her a Golden Globe nomination, and her recording of the song "Fame" became and international hit. Cara won an Academy Award in 1984 in the category of Best Original Song for co-writing "Flashdance ... What a Feeling, which also became an international hit."

The 1980 hit movie Fame catapulted Irene Cara to stardom. Cara was originally cast as a dancer, and when production heard her voice they re-wrote the role of Coco Hernandez. As Coco Hernandez, she sang both the title song "Fame" and the film's other single "Out Here on My Own." These songs helped make the film's soundtrack a chart-topping, multi-platinum album. Further history was made when at the Academy Awards that year: It was the first time two songs from the same film were nominated in the same category and both sung by the same artist. Thus, Cara had the opportunity to be one of the few singers to perform more than one song at the Oscar ceremony. "Fame." written by Michael Gore and Dean Pitchford, won the award that year. Cara earned Grammy nominations in 1980 for Best New Female Artist and Best New Pop Artist, as well as a Golden Globe nomination for Best Motion Picture Actress in a Musical. Billboard Magazine named her Top New Single Artist, while Cashbox Magazine awarded her both Most Promising Female Vocalist and Top Female Vocalist. www.wikipedia.org

Day 86: A song to listen to whilst looking up at the stars

Promise Me
By Beverly Craven

Promises ... are made to be broken, an old saying that has stuck to my mind till now. I have been promised a lot that was broken. For a long time I never believed when one says PROMISE, it's because I hate to be disappointed if it will not happen. If you tell me PROMISE, just make sure that it will be done. Because when I PROMISE I know for myself that I can do it and I will do it no matter what hindrances it may encounter.

Others may say not to close the doors for others, for there is no assurance yet of what's going on in our world, but this I can promise ... I will save this love until the time that we are waiting for.

Day 85: A song that touched your heart today

Still
By Hillsong

Do not be afraid for any troubles that you encounter in life, just trust in God and He will protect you.

God is Great.... I LIKE!

Hide me now
Under Your wings
Cover me
Within Your might hand

When the oceans rise and thunders roar
I will soar with You above the storm
Father you are King over the flood
I will be still and know You are God

Find rest my soul
In Christ alone
Know His power
In quietness and trust

When the oceans rise and thunders roar
I will soar with You above the storm
Father You are King over the flood
I will be still and know You are God

Day 84 : A song that reminds you of a friend who lives very far away

Everyday
by Agot Isidro

source www.osdtop.com

Long Distance relationship can sometimes be very hard, especially for those who are just starting.  It is advised by some of our elders not to pursue this kind of relationship as it entails a lot of hindrances if not managed very well.  Physical presence is important, they say that it is still different when you are able to hold hands, kiss, and hug and feel human warmth of your loved one. But what if you are in this LDR situation what do you need to do?

Well, I am not an expert adviser but gathering information from others and what I do think is needed here are some important tips that I feel is required.

  1. Strongly build your trust. Well I guess in any other relationship, TRUST should be there.  You may have experienced  loss of trust from your previous relationship, but always remember not to associate your current partner from your past. People are not the same, and I guess we should trust a person until you are given a reason not to. Along with that, one should also be HONEST!

  2. R-E-S-P-E-C-T. Respect to one another should be given and value the whole being of each other and accept differences. Like what I always say, if you love the person you should love his/her imperfections, for these are the hardest to accept and when you are able to live with that, well that is true love ^_^.

 3. STOP-LOOK-LISTEN  Place extreme importance on COMMUNICATION. This is very important in any relationship, but it is much more in a Long Distance Relationship. Well, it is for me! I would love to be talking if not every single minute (which of course I know it is impossible), but for at least every single day. Daily communication would update on what’s going on in each other’s lives during the day or would be able to talk things that have not discussed or just simply have a laugh and have fun chit-chating. Gone are the days that you record your messages in a cassette recorder, snail mails, telegrams… we are in the new age, where faster means of communication are available such as E-mail, Yahoo Messenger, Skype and a lot more applications. Not only that, you can also readily access it in your hand held mobile phones. GRAND!!! Isn’t it?!!? So there is no excuse not to communicate at all!

  4. EXPRESS YOURSELF!  Be more expressive on how you feel towards your partner. Remember, you are not able to physically hug your partner. So, words are really important. Comforting and assuring words needs to be heard, such as “I love you”, “I miss you” and let your partner know that you are committed to make your LDR work!

   5. Be creative! Online dating can happen!

Well, I guess that is all I know and I can share. I am sure many of you would have one or two more advise. Just feel free to share it!

Oh by the way, here’s a song that I think would be suitable for couples that are in a Long Distance Relationship…. Enjoy and just click the link!

You give me hope
The strength, the will to keep on
No one else can make me feel this way
And only you
Can bring out all the best I can do;
I believe you turn the tide
And make me feel real good inside.

You pushed me up
When I'm about to give up;
You're on my side when no one seems to listen
And if you go,
You know the tears can't help but show
You'll break this heart and tear it apart;
Then suddenly the madness starts

It's your smile,
Your face, your lips that I miss,
Those sweet little eyes that stare at me
And make me say,
I'm with you through all the way.

'Cause it's you
Who fills the emptiness in me;
It changes ev'rything, you see,
When I know I've got you with me

You pushed me up
When I'm about to give up;
You're on my side when no one seems to listen
And if you go,
You know the tears can't help but show
You'll break this heart and tear it apart;
Then suddenly the madness starts

It's your smile,
Your face, your lips that I miss,
Those sweet little eyes that stare at me
And make me say,
I'm with you through all the way.

'Cause it's you
Who fills the emptiness in me;
It changes ev'rything, you see,
When I know I've got you with me.

It's your smile,
Your face, your lips that I miss,
Those sweet little eyes that stare at me
And make me say,
I'm with you through all the way.

'Cause it's you
Who fills the emptiness in me;
It changes ev'rything, you see,
When I know I've got you with me.
