choice

When you learn to make the right choice, the ones that God has planned for you, everything just falls into the right time and place. Sometimes you just have to sacrifice a little because you can't have everything, if you have everything you might forget to call on Him.

I feel so blessed to have a loving and supportive family!

Quote for today

"We're a little weird. And life is a little weird. And when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall into mutually satisfying weirdness -- and call it love -- true love." by Robert Fulghum, True Love

Just stumbled upon this quote. There are still so many strangers that comes into your life, but there will always be that one certain stranger that will catch your attention.

Have Faith

God has already planned our life. We may question Him why difficulties comes our way. Remember we were given our free will, mind and heart to make choices. Difficulties may come as a resort of wrong choices. Accept this difficulty in order for us to go back to what was planned for us by God. The plan that will make us prosper, give us hope and a better future.

Pray and seek help from Him, pray that He may lead you in every decision that you make.

Have faith.

God is always with us.

For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11

Heaven

... It is when you finally found that someone

Who could make you see that everything is right

Who could make you realize that there is true love

Who could make you feel you're in Heaven ...

Mama, I Love You

This is the time of the year ...
When I always wish I still have my Mama physically beside me.
I wish I could see her expression when I greet her on Mother's Day.
I wish to hear her great laugh with excitement when I share my success in life.
I wish to feel her warm hug whenever I am lonely and happy.
21 years with the Lord in Heaven .... all I can do is wish.

But I have always believed, she never left me and my siblings.
She make ways to let me feel that she is always beside me.
Dreams, butterfly, and even through other people.
She has been there to guide and protect me.
She is my guardian angel.

Happy Mother's Day!

Love On March . . . Happy Easter!

March 2013 was a very long month!
5 Fridays
5 Saturdays
5 Sundays
Big Time!

This month is very special to me as it is my Birth Month. In this very long month it has brought me a lot of realizations, and knew the truth behind the questions on my mind. It has made me shed tears and has also brought me back that RADIANT SMILE again.

March 2013 is a special month for us as we commemorate an important event in our Christian Life ... The Holy Week which reminds us how Jesus Christ died for us and saved us from our sins. And as we end the Month of March we celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus. Blessed are we to have Him as our Saviour, and let us bring back the Glory to our Lord Jesus Christ. Let us cast away fear, anger, bitterness and lies in our hearts. Let us Live Life in the Likeness of Jesus and embrace His unconditional and undying LOVE.

Happy Easter!
Let this be the start of a new beginning.

"When God closes a door, somewhere He opens a window."

birthday surprise 2012

This has been long overdue, but nevertheless I would like to share to all how I celebrated my birthday last March 2012. It was a time where I was dealing with things that have made me wonder what life has in store for me. Difficult time it is, but with the Grace of God I have surpassed another challenging chapter of my life

Patients in Tanzania
Going back to my birthday celebration, one day my friend and colleague Maria shared to me that our friend Pamela will be going to Tanzania, officially the United Republic of Tanzania a country in East Africa. It was not just for pleasure but she has unselfishly volunteered to serve in one of the orphanage where children has AIDS. They have decided to pitch in financially to buy stuffs that would be of benefit to those kids such as medicines, educational materials and toys. From there, I emailed my friends and told them that I was not going to celebrate my birthday but instead I will donate the money that I was supposed to use to treat them in some fancy restaurant.  Of course my friends did not object on that!

cooking in the old fashioned way
Making Banana BEER!!!
100+ woman weaving floor mats to sleep on

It’s always a great feeling to share and help people who are less fortunate especially on my birthday. I usually do it on Christmas time though.

I thought my birthday would be quiet, I was very touched when my friends surprised me in my office, brought me cake, flowers, gifts and food that we happily shared. It’s really great to have friends who take time and effort to remember you on your special day and make you extra special. I like surprising my friends on their birthday but I hate to be surprised, but on this instance, I loved every moment of it! My friends are like my family and I thank God for giving me such great friends!

GREAT FRIENDS! (not complete though ... )
Share with all your heart and according to your will! Sharing is not only on special occasions, it is not only in the form of money or material things, it is also sharing your time, effort and care to others.

Thanks Pamela for the photos! :)

Girl On Fire on 2013

It maybe late to write my first blog for the year 2013 though, it may be a cliché but it is better to be late than never!

Thank God for the year 2012 and thank God it is OVER! Last year has brought so many laughter, tears, excitement, opportunities and a lot of learning. Every new year we have our resolutions, that is most of the time to be better from the previous year. But I guess we don't have to wait for another year to change, we can always change any time we want to. However, we should change because we feel that we need to, not because others says so.

They say when you grow old, you get wiser, and at my age I still learn a lot from life. Learning is a never ending process and it does not mean that we only learn from school. It is through our experiences and from other people around us that we learn the best and "not so best" things in life. It's not about numbers, formulas, grammar, but it is about how you live towards being a good person. I am gonna share to you what I need to change from year 2012, which I admit have known it for years but I am just too stubborn to really accept the fact that I am being too much of it and that I have allowed it to somehow make my world crazy.

I have came to realize that I am the type of person, who, I may say have too much of what I call the 3 A's. Analyze, Assume and Anticipate. In most of the situation that I am in, I Analyze every detail of it, unfortunately I could not get help from Google or Wikipedia and that makes me go ballistic! Then comes next, Assuming. I would like everything to be clear, if it's a NO it's a NO, if it's a YES and it's a YES. There are No maybe's - No if's. If I don't get a clear answer to what I have analyzed I tend to assume, I give answers to my own questions, I tend to miss out the  "read between the lines." Maybe because I am a frank person, who says loud and clear of what's on my mind and what I actually feel. Too sad not everyone can speak their mind and heart. So, Assuming too much can sometimes get me in trouble. And because I over analyze and assume, this leads to, most of the time Anticipate of what's going to happen next and in most cases, things happens not what I expected it to be. Which leads to disappointment.

Now I am in the process of weighing and seeing things in different perspectives and accepting that whatever happens, it has always a purpose and it is God's plan. We only get an exact answer in Math, of course when we solve it correctly! ^_^ Most importantly, everything too much can be harmful.

I am a girl on fire, will keep both feet on the ground, with heads up high because I have a Great God who is greater than my obstacles in life and who has great plans for me.

change for growth!

December ... it's Christmas time!

This is the time of the year where people are busy decorating their homes, offices, and even the town or city with all those bright lights and different Christmas ornaments which make you feel the spirit of Christmas.  Christmas songs are now being played in radio stations, people are starting to make their list and even start shopping for the gifts for their families, friends and colleagues.

But what is Christmas? What are these Christmas decors means to you?

We should be reminded that ….

Christmas is a compound word, “Christ’s Mass.” It is commemorating the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ.  The Fir Tree or the Christmas Tree with its green color reminds us that there is everlasting hope for mankind. The Christmas Star represents the fulfillment of God’s promise to us, He has sent us our Savior Jesus Christ. The Christmas Wreath which is round represents REAL love, Love which is continuous and unconditional that we should offer to mankind.  The Christmas Candle represents that Christ is the light of the world, He guides us and lightens our dark paths in life. Santa Claus symbolizes generosity, especially during the Christmas month! The Angel reminds us how they sang GLORY TO GOD in the Highest, peace and good will to His people on earth.

Christmas is not just receiving and giving material gifts, we should rejoice that our Savior Jesus Christ was born to save us. We should always remember that the best gift we can give is Love and Prayers and let us always be thankful with the Blessings that we receive every day.

Let us all have a Merry and Blessed Christmas!

First Man In My Life ... Happy Birthday Papa

A man with great courage, strength and full of dreams.... that is my PAPA.

He is the eldest of 9 children. He was born in a family that lived each day wherein they have to work hard to have food on the table. I remember him telling us his story, that as a child he would wake up early morning to go with Anda (grand mother) to sell pandesal (bread) in the streets of Pakil, Laguna. His mother a dress maker and  his father a soldier. They may not lived a luxurious life, but they were happy and was raised as God fearing children. He strive hard to reach his dreams and he worked while finishing his studies. I am proud to say that he started from the lowest rank and retired as the Assistant Station Manager of AIR FRANCE Airline, after 30 years of service. He did not let poorness be a hindrance in fulfilling his dreams.

Papa is a good brother and a son. He was never selfish in sharing what he has, to his parents and his siblings. Even when he got married and had children he still provided for them. He has even helped other people and managed to save for the future.

Growing up, my Papa was some sort of a strict father, even if it's weekend the latest time we can wake up was 8am, otherwise you will really be scolded. We were not allowed to sleep over at our friends house, had curfew (12mn quite lenient during those times). Every summer, Papa and Mama see to it that all our helpers will be on their vacation, me and my siblings will have our own chores to do....  BOOT CAMP! Back then, we didn't like it, of course as kids we just want to play, sleep and eat! But now, being independent, I thank him for training us and all was worth it.

Papa is a loving, caring, protective father and a very good provider. I admire how he has raised us all by himself when my Mama passed away. It was a big pressure on him I am pretty sure. But he did not allow loneliness to give up on us. For more than 10 years he portrayed the role of both Father and Mother to us, his children. He may not be perfect but I can say he has done more than what was expected. Because we want him to be happy, we did not get in the way for him to search for his partner. We knew that we as his children would not be able to give the kind of love of what a partner would be able to give him. He is lucky that God has given him my Stepmom MAMSI who has taken cared of him and loved him unconditionally. The big age gap did not hinder their love for one another. And even luckier that 3 little angels were born whom I can say have never considered to be half brother and sisters.

Now that Papa is "_ 2" years old (i wont write the real number, because the kids knows that Papa is still in his forties ... lolz) I wish him good health, peace of mind and spend more time with the kids, as we were not able to experience that before because he was busy with work which we understand. May our Great God give him more years to live so we can spend more time with him. God willing we will all be together again.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY PAPA ... thank you for being the best father and friend to me. Thank you for being so understanding and for loving me unconditionally.

Here's a song that every time I hear it, I remember papa singing it ... he has a very good modulated singing voice too!  ^_^

I LOVE YOU PAPA!

Somewhere down the road ....

Finally!!! My sister had the courage to make her very first recording and yes, I can proudly share it to everyone. Not everyone knows that my sister has also the talent in singing. She just don't have the guts to sing in front of many people. Most of the time our bonding moments is Videoke. I always encourage her to sing and teach her the techniques, but after so many years it was only tonight that she agreed to record her first cover song.

Tonight was another great bonding time with you my dear sister, you never fail to understand your big sister and love me unconditionally. I thank God that you are my sister, we may not be perfect but we still love each other!

Congratulations on your ever first recording! I hope for more songs ... and a duet next time!

SISTERS FOREVER
