have you got ears?

You have listened to a lot of sensible and even non-sense stories of happiness, excitement, loneliness, heartaches, full of love, realizations and different sorts of problems from people who have been and are still part of your life. You have not only given your two ears but all your senses, your time, your care, your worries and has even made their burden, your own burden. They may not have asked you to do so, but this is who you are .. this is how affectionate  you are to others. You are flattered and happy that you are appreciated with the care you give for them, like what they say ‘no man is an island’.  Anybody needs somebody to listen to anything that you want to share.

But is it wrong to sometimes wish that it is reciprocated the way you want it to be? Especially in times when you need it, when you need someone to listen to you, I guess it is not, we are human and yes ‘no man is an island’ and you are one of those. They are not the only ones who are happy, get excited, get lonely, experience heartaches, you too have your story to tell. I am lucky to have few persons around me who listens, cry and laugh with me. I have different persons in life, I have a person who most of the time agree with me, I have a person who most of the time shows me the negative side of the story, I have a person who is like a priest when gives advice, I have a person who is like a physician who always diagnose my moods, I have a person who just listens with few words but the mere presence means a lot, I have a person who you think doesn’t care but would appreciate you when the time is right, I have a person who thinks and who counsels you as if she is older than me. I have a person who will illustrate to you the positive and negative side of the story; I have a person who is like a lawyer who provides you the facts, I have a person who is almost available anytime! There are few more persons in my life who I am thankful for.

Listening attentively is a skill but Listening with Care is something from the Heart.
