Day 31: I consider this to be the best number one single from 1986

Living in the world today is hard, there is too much competition outside your comfort zone that sometimes you tend to make great efforts to be noticed. This goes for work, to belong to a crowd, and maybe in finding your partner for life. We sometimes pretend to be somebody else just to impress the people around us, but it is best felt when you are liked and noticed by people because they see you for who you are and not what you think others may want to see. BE YOURSELF! If they don’t like it, it doesn’t matter as long as you’re happy and you are not hurting anybody. We cannot please everyone!

ANA LA AHTAM, DAM ANA FIRHANA!

True Colors by Cynthia Ann Stephani “Cyndi” Lauper, is a song written by songwriters Billy Steinberg and Tom Kelly, additional lyrics by Cyndi Lauper. It was both the title track and the first single released from Cyndi Lauper’s second album. It was the only original song on the album that Lauper did not help write. "True Colors" spent two weeks in the number one spot on the Billboard Hot 100, and was the last single from Lauper to occupy the top of the chart. It received a Grammy Award nomination for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance.
